Metamorphoses

Last night,
I turned into a cow,
grazing upon the hills
and valleys you’d become.

The cow says, "Moo!"
It chomps the grass
it stomps the turf
The cow says, "Moo!"

The cow says,"Moo!"
Its dung goes "plock!"
Its slumps down "Plop!"
The cow says, "Moo!"

The cow says, "Moo!"
The calf says, "Maa!"
The goat says, "Bea!"
The Bull says, "Hrrf!"

But the grass -
and the hills -
and the valleys -
were silent.
They knew rains would come soon.
And the cow and the calf and the Goat and the Bull
would go.

happy grazing! imagine also the cow just lying under the shade of a tree, just chewing the cud remembering all the grazing it had done.

Balan Sir: That's a beautiful one, thanks.

Venu Chettan: That's when cows become philosophers. Ain't it?
